alon told me to insert a title (thats what he said)

My bad. A reader e-mailed this week and asked what happened to all the stories and photos about pets? I still have more than three dozen photos to post of your pets. I'm back on it. Today's Paw Print Pick is about a lucky Beagle found running in Shenandoah National Park. For other photos and stories about readers' cats and dogs, see the Paw Print Pick album.Real name: Teddie
Pet's name: Cody
Why I chose this name: We named him for the place we found him. Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park in Tennessee.
Pet's breed: Beagle
Why and where I got him/her: We went evey year to the Smokies to camp out. Our favorite place was Cades Cove. We saw this Beagle running loose in the cove on our first day. We found out his story. He was a hunting dog that had gotten loose from his pack. They couldn't catch him. We believe that he was abused or just had no human contact. He was so hungry, but would cry and whine because he was so afraid to get too close. We fed him every day and gained his trust. We were told he'd be shot if he couldn't be caught. We caught him a day or two later and took him home.
